Our natural sunscreen ingredients

Whats in it for me?

Good for nature and all, but what do I get?
Well, all nature does is provide for our needs. So every ingredient has something to offer, from UV protection to skin moisturization.

Virgin coconut oil

First of all, this is where the amazing smell probably is coming from. Virgin coconut oil provides excellent moisturization to the skin, keeping it hydrated and prevents it from dryness. The oil contains natural anti-oxidants, such as vitamin E, that helps protect the skin from free radical damage caused by sun exposure and reducing the risk of premature aging by supporting overall skin health.

Fun fact: Virgin coconut oil has a natural SPF of around 4-6. 

Non-nano zinc oxide

Non-nano zinc oxide is a mineral sunscreen ingredient that provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays, helping to prevent sunburn, skin damage, and premature aging. It works by forming a physical barrier on the skin's surface that reflects and scatters UV rays, providing effective sun protection. Non-nano zinc oxide is generally well-tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive skin, and does not penetrate the skin to the same extent as nano-sized particles, making it a preferred option for those seeking natural and safer sun protection.

Beeswax

Beeswax forms a protective barrier on the skin, locking in moisture and shielding it from environmental pollutants, while still allowing the skin to breathe. It has emollient properties that help to soften and smooth the skin, promoting a more supple and youthful appearance. Beeswax also contains natural antibacterial properties that can help protect the skin from infections and support the healing of minor wounds or irritations.

Illipe butter

Illipe butter moisturizes and nourishes the skin, enhancing its softness and smoothness. It provides protection against environmental stressors and has anti-inflammatory properties that soothe irritated skin. Additionally, it may improve elasticity, promote skin regeneration, and is suitable for various skin types due to its non-comedogenic nature.

Shea butter

It has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe and calm irritated skin, making it beneficial for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. Additionally, it helps protect the skin's natural moisture barrier, promoting overall skin health.

Fun fact: It contains natural compounds, such as cinnamic acid, that provide a low level of sun protection (estimated SPF of around 3-4) against UV radiation.

Olive oil

Olive oil is a natural moisturizer that helps hydrate and nourish the skin, leaving it soft and supple.It contains antioxidants, such as vitamin E, that protect the skin from free radical damage and help reduce signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines. Olive oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe and calm irritated skin, making it beneficial for conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

Carrot seed oil

Carrot seed oil is rich in antioxidants, such as beta-carotene and vitamin E, which help protect the skin from free radical damage and promote overall skin health. Carrot seed oil also has rejuvenating and nourishing effects on the skin, helping to improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity, while promoting a more youthful and radiant complexion.

Fun fact: It has natural sun protection properties, carrot seed oil may provide a mild SPF of around SPF 4-5.

Vanilla oil

The smell of this special vanilla oil is causing the amazing smell of our sunscreen.
